Pawn Stars! On Sunday I went with my coworker, Sesh, to visit the famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop on Las Vegas Boulevard.
What a great old refrigerator. General Electric baby! That means made in the USA. I showed this to Avi earlier today and she liked it. Perhaps we should find an antique one like this for our home?
I love the intricate metal-work on these old cash registers. I wonder how much money this one has seen in it's lifetime?
Avi really liked this! It's a classic. Keep your eyes peeled for one like it and let us know if you see one, as it may come in handy again in the future.
Ok! Here I am next to the Pawn Stars crew. Actually, none of them were in the shop. Perhaps they don't work mornings or just take Sundays off? Or perhaps they don't actually work in the shop very often anymore.
The bowling ball cannon! I watched this episode when we were on South Padre Island.
Here's a wider view of the shop. In the case on the right, there are sports rings like NFL Championship rings etc. One of them from a recent New England Patriots win was $150,000. Yes. $150k for a ring.
Here's a view of the outside of the shop.
This is a funky tattoo shop that is across from their parking lot.
I snapped this shot from the taxi when leaving the pawn shop. Note the yellow sign -- "Wedding Band Set $49.95" ... Vegas baby!!!
